Scam 2023 unfolds the story of Abdul Karim Telgi who was the mastermind behind one of the biggest scams in India. He started his counterfeiting career by making fake passports and transporting manpower to Saudi Arabia.
He then moved to more complex counterfeiting by making fake stamp papers. The size of the scam was estimated to be more than $100 billion. The whole counterfeit net was spread across multiple states of India and a lot of big names were involved.
Scam 2023 is the follow-up to the Harshad Mehta Scam 1992, released on Sony Liv in 2020.
