1. The first rule to book your Tatkal tickets online that the Tatkal tickets in AC classes open at 10 am & for Non-AC classes at 11 am.

2. Rule 2 is that there is no refund available for the cancellation of Tatkal tickets.

3. Rule 3  is that the RAC or waiting tatkal tickets can get canceled within 30 minutes before the departure of the train. 

4. Rule 4 is in case you have booked a tatkal ticket for more than one passenger,  and the list has confirmed some tickets on the waiting list, then full cancelation of the ticket will get refunded. 

5. Rule 5 is that if the train is late by a few hours and if the passenger is willing to cancel the confirmed tatkal e-ticket, then the passenger can file a TDR on the IRCTC web for cancelation of the confirmed tatkal tickets and refund also.

How To Cancel E- Tatkal Ticket Online?

• Go to IRCTC web or app

• Login to your ID with valid user id and password of IRCTC or create one if you have not. 

• Go to Train Ticket

• Enter your PIN and login to your IRCTC applications.

• Then, go to the 'My Bookings' option

• Select the train ticket which you want to cancel

• Once you have selected the ticket, you wished to cancel then tap on three dots at the top right corner of your ticket. 

• Now, click on 'Cancel Ticket.'

• There will be an option given to cancel one or more tickets. (If you have more than one ticket booked and want to cancel both or just one, you have both the options available.)

• The last step is to click on 'Confirm' to cancel your train ticket.
