Jio Phone 2 Launch in India
Jio Phone 2 was launched in India at RIL AGM. It has a screen size of 2.40 inches with resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels. As far as memory is concerned, there is 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. The device offers support for external memory card up to 128GB. On the camera front, there is 2 MP primary camera and 0.3 mp front shooter for selfies. Jio phone runs KAI OS. The qwerty keyboard enabled device packs a 2000mAh battery. There are a variety of connectivity options including Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM. Jio Phone 2 will come preloaded with apps like Youtube, Facebook, and Whatsapp. The device is priced at Rs 2,999.

The notable differences are a Qwerty Keyboard and dual sim support, rest remains almost the same. There were speculations that new variant of Jio Phone might come with Android OS for its next device but the company has stuck with KAI OS. However, the support for popular apps like Facebook, Youtube, and Whatsapp is a great news for Jio users. These apps will be preloaded in Jio phone 2 and also made available via Jio app store for current users.
Jio Rs 99 Recharge Plan for Jio Phone & Jio Phone 2
The telecom operator has announced a new recharge at Rs 99 for Jio Phone users. The new recharge plan offers 14 GB data for 28 days. It also provides unlimited calling, Jio apps, and 300 SMS. Jio Phone users have two more exclusive plans of Rs 49 and Rs 153. The Rs 49 plan offers 1GB Data whereas Rs 153 plan comes with 42GB Data. Jio Rs 153 plan has unlimited SMS while Rs 49 pack gives users 50 SMS per month. In comparison, Jio Rs 99 Recharge plans has 300 SMS for users.
The 4G enabled VoLTE device was launched last year to increase of 4G adoption in the country. Jio Phone (2017) is also available on amazon at a price of Rs 1500.
Note : Reliance Jio has also announced monsoon hungama offer which allows Jio Phone users to upgrade to the latest version by paying only Rs 501.
