Sam Bahadur Movie Release Date
Meghna Gulzar told the story of the Sam Manekshaw biopic in 2017 while filming Raazi, the movie she intended to direct. Inspired by the concept, Kaushal decided to take on the role. After that, she spent years conducting in-depth research, writing with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava, and meeting with Sam Manekshaw's family. RSVP Pictures made the announcement of the movie in 2021, the 107th anniversary of the late Sam Manekshaw's birth. The first teaser was released on December 1, 2022. The RSVP production released the official teaser on October 13, 2023, and now the movie is all set to open in theatres on December 1, 2023.

Sam Bahadur is India’s 1st Field Commander of the Indian Army.His full name is Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw. He was born on 3 April 1914 in Amritsar. He wanted to become a doctor but joined the Military when his father was not ready to send him abroad for studies. His star-studded journey started with the British Indian army. Throughout his four-decade service with the Indian army, Manekshaw fought in five wars with distinction. World War II in 1942, the Indo-Pak Partition War in 1947, the Sino-Indian War in 1962, the Indo-Pak War in 1965, and the War of Bangladesh Liberation in 1971.
