Welcome, Xiaomi in the arena of online payments and mobile wallets. Xiaomi Mi Pay is all set to launch in India very soon. The mobile payment service backed by ICICI Bank & PayU is already cleared by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The digital payments platform is in the beta testing phase. The App will be soon available for all MIUI users. In the meantime check the Mi offers online on smartphones, accessories, wearables etc.

Mi Pay app will also come with support for all leading credit & debit cards. Apart from allowing money transfer via UPI, the digital payments apps can be used for several utility payments such as recharge, water bill, electricity bill and more. The digital payments apps in India include Paytm, PhonePe & Google Pay. Xiaomi’s upcoming app will also have support for QR Code payments.

How to Link a Bank Account to Mi Pay

  • Open the Mi Pay app

  • Select the option to add a bank account

  • Enter the bank account details

  • Complete the SMS verification for final confirmation

Xiaomi had launched Mi Pay in 2016 in China. The payments service works on NFC technology. The Indian version would be slightly different from the NFC powered Mi pay in China. The deep integration with MIUI is an advantage of Mi Pay. Xiaomi already has a wide user base to make the competition slightly easy.
