Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will not be available for Cash on Delivery for the next sale on Flipkart on 7 March 2018.This information has been announced by Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director Of Xiaomi, India. This initiative has been taken to give the better chance to genuine customers to buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 pro. However, this may create a problem for the customers who prefer the Cash On Delivery Option.

Manu Kumar Jain Posted this information on his social media account- Facebook and Twitter.According to his tweet, the reason behind this decision is to stop unauthorized reselling of these two phones. His twitter statement is-

"Mi Fans!As a part of  experiment to curb reselling, we have decided to remove the COD payment option for upcoming sales of #RedmiNote5Pro during initial few sales, giving genuine customers a better chance at purchasing our products."

It has been observed that during the sale of Redmi note 5 and note 5 Pro, people place the bulk orders and after that, they sell these phones at a higher price on various marketplaces and sites like Quicker, OLX etc.So, just to stop this reselling, Xiaomi decided to Pause Cash on Delivery option for next few sales of Redmi note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The first sale of these two phones held on February 22 and Xiaomi claimed that they sold around 3 lakh units within 3 Minutes. Both Redmi Note5 and Note 5 Pro provides the best experience in under the budget price and this the reason that the demand of these two phones is very high.

Redmi Note 5 starts from Rs.9,999 for 3 GB variant and Redmi Note 5 starts from Rs.13,999 For 4GB variant. Coming to the specifications of Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro, This Phone features 5.99 inch HD display with a resolution of 2180*1080. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and comes in 4GB and 6GB variant with 4000 mAh battery.

Both the models have almost same features but there is one big difference of camera. Redmi Note 5 has 12 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and for the front, it has 5 MP camera with LED flash. On the other hand, Redmi Note 5 pro has dual camera setup of 12 MP+5 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, for the front, it has the selfie shooter of 20 MP with LED flash and Sony IMX376 sensor. So, I think It justifies the price difference between Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro.

If you are planning to buy Redmi Note 5/Note 5 Pro, then this sale is the best way to get the mobile in your hand as there will be a restriction of One unit Per customer, So it might be possible that you place your order successfully.
