Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand is all set to launch the budget smartphone Redmi 9 in India. It was  launched in India on August 27th 2020 via a virtual event. The Redmi 9 will be a part of the Redmi 9 series that includes the Redmi Note 9, Note 9 Pro, Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi 9 Prime. The Redmi 9 sale is live on Amazon and MI from 12 Pm today.

Redmi 9 will be available exclusively on Amazon.com and MI.com websites starting at 12 PM today. Redmi 9 is said to be a newer and polished version of Redmi 9C that was launched recently. 

Redmi will be a budget smartphone. If it is a rebranded version of Redmi 9C, then it will come with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display. 

The smartphone would have 2 RAM/Storage options of 2GB/32GB and 3GB/64GB. The company has hinted on expecting 'more RAM," there could be different storage options.
