Xiaomi is believed to launch its Android Go based smartphone very soon. The entry-level smartphone "Redmi Go" may launch at a very affordable price in India. It will be the next budget-friendly smartphone of Mi in India. If the reports are to be believed Xiaomi's new phone in the Redmi Series can be priced at Rs. 4,999. The company has confirmed the launch of Redmi Go on Twitter. The smartphone features 5-inch HD screen along with Qualcomm's entry-level 425 SoC. Xiaomi is also believed to launch Redmi Note 7 in India very soon. Both the smartphones under Redmi will launch in February 2019.

Update: The smartphone has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 4,499. The first sale of Redmi Go on 22nd March 2019. It will be sold via flash sale on Flipkart. Redmi Go Price

The actual price of the smartphone is not revealed yet. But it is confirmed that “Redmi Go” will launch in the entry-level segment. The price is believed to be around Rs. 5000. The smartphone will be priced below the Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A, the two entry-level smartphones of the company in India. From the company's tweet, it is clear that it was launch in two color variants of Blue & Black. Therefore, Xiaomi fans in India are about to get a brand new smartphone at an affordable price.

Redmi Go Features

Redmi Go comes with a 5-inch HD screen. It is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon SoC. The phone is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The operating system of the phone is most likely Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). The headset will include 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
