Xiaomi has revealed a teaser that promises great features for a budget smartphone. The company recently witnessed record sales with Mi Diwali Sale 2019. This year Xiaomi has been very aggressive with product launches, increasing its presence across all categories.

Now, the time is one more addition to the smartphone lineup with the launch of Redmi 8 in India.

Redmi 8 Launch Date in India

The launch of Redmi 8 comes shortly after the release of its more affordable sibling Redmi 8A in India. Redmi 8 is all set to make its debut on 9th October.

Flipkart has already put a microsite teasing the launch of the upcoming smartphone. Redmi 8 will go on sale on Flipkart and Mi.com before Diwali. The date of the flash sale will be announced at the launch event.

Redmi 8 Price in India

The smartphone is going to be another addition to the competitive under Rs. 10,000 price segment. Redmi 8 will launch in two variants which are expected to be priced around Rs. 8,999 & Rs. 9,999 respectively.

Meanwhile, the price of Redmi 7 was recently splashed, the smartphone is available at Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB/32GB variant. While the 3GB/32GB variant is retailing for Rs. 8,499.

Redmi 8 Features and Specifications

In its teaser, Xiaomi has revealed some of the top features of its upcoming smartphone. Redmi 8 is all set to debut with a dual camera that includes the flagship Sony Sensor.

Also, the smartphone is likely to be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging. As far as design is concerned Redmi 8A will feature Aura Mirror design. The smartphone is also expected to be splash resistant.
