The Ministry Of Labour and Employment (MoLE) has recently introduced the E Shram portal to create a  National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), to effectively manage them and provide them with the benefits of various social security welfare schemes.

After getting yourself registered with the portal with your aadhar card, you will get the E Shram Card, which will bear a 12 digit unique number to refer to as your UAN number for future correspondence.
