It is going to be based on loyalty points where customers can avail benefits by redeeming points earned on their purchase on Flipkart. This is the first major move from the e-commerce company after being acquired by Walmart in May this year.

Flipkart Plus is all set to launch on August 15. You can subscribe to the loyalty programme starting independence day. The membership will be free and all Flipkart customers can subscribe at no cost. It will be a premium account with many benefits for members. This is not the first foray of the e-commerce company in customer loyalty programs as Flipkart First was introduced during Big Billion Sale.

In contrast, Flipkart Plus is a loyalty programme based on purchases made by the customer.
