Bob Biswas is directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh. The film is produced by Red Chillies and Bound Script production. It is the story of a deadly contract killer played by Abhishek Bachchan. While Chitrangda Singh portrays the role of his wife. The movie also stars prominent Bengali actors Paran Bandopadhyay and Ditipriya Roy in pivotal roles.

It is a spin-off of Kahaani movie starring Vidya Balan. The character of Bob was introduced in the movie as a LIC agent who is also a deadly contract killer. This character got lots of appreciation from the audience. Sujoy Ghosh who directed Kahaani has written the story of Bob Biswas. The movie was originally scheduled to release in theatres but has got a digital release due to COVID-19.
