Another gift by Delhi metro… now Delhi Metro commuters can recharge their smart cards just by sending SMS

Do you use Delhi Metro to travel? Well here is a gift from DMRC. Have a look.

Now Delhi Metro travelers will be able to recharge their smart cards just by sending SMS to 9222208888. As the service has just started hence only ICICI Bank account holders can recharge with their registered mobile number. But soon it will expand to all other banks.

The SMS should have DMRC card ID with and last six digits of ICICI bank account and the amount with which you wish to recharge your card. Fill the amount and fly of the message. You will receive the recharge in just a few seconds.

The service is available at 71 Metro stations. So on these stations, when you receive sms from ICICI, just show the smart card at the Add Value Machine to complete the process, passenger will get the confirmatory message from ICICI Bank. 

The feature of Sms recharge by smartphone was launched at Barakhamba Metro station on Thursday.
