Generally, we celebrate June 21st of every year by gifting something to our father and wishing him Happy Father’s Day, but have you ever wondered what is all about this day, or why do we even celebrate it? As a matter of fact, this particular day is not associated with any mythological event or with birth of some great guy with some special contribution to the society or country. Actually Father’s day is the tribute to innocent men which were killed in of Monongah Mining Disaster.

What happened on December 1907?

December 6, 1907 was a hard and cruel day when around 367 men got trapped in two mines of Monongah. The moment which took lives of these men is noticed as 10:28 AM when suddenly an an explosion killed most of the men trapped inside the mine. The blast damaged the ventilation system which caused further havoc.

The explosion was so big that it caused a surface to tremble, it is theorized that the main cause of the blast could be coal dust or the methane gas ignited through an electric spark. What came next was the mourning and tears in the families of the mine workers. This was the worst mining disaster in the history of America.

Aftermath of the crisis.

Around a thousand children left fatherless and it was no less than a roof of shelter taken out by the wind of chaos. A person which also contributed significantly in the establishment of Mother’s Day, suggested her pastor to pay tribute and honor the fathers.

After some years of the event, In June 19, 1910 Father’s day was celebrated in the Spokane, Washington, by Sonora Smart Dodd whose father Mr. William Jackson Smart was a Veteran of a Civil war and a single parent of six children. In the years of 1930’s she started promoting the celebration on a National level, and it was openly accepted as it was a respect toward your parent.

Father’s Day became an official day

However it was also resisted by a few Americans as they saw it as a potential commercial event for merchants and advertisers. It first came into recognition when President Woodrow Wilson In 1916 went to Spokane to speak in a Father’s Day celebration expressed his desire to make it an official day in the Republic. However during 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued an official proclamation regarding Father’s Day and he designated THIRD SUNDAY in June as the official Father’s Day.

What can you do to celebrate the Father’s Day?

Any Father on the earth do not primarily wish for gifts or any celebration, they want their children to learn the ways to cope up with the cruel world. And for that a great way to honor our Father is to show them that we have learned something from his experience. For example : Save a bit of money and pay electricity bill and tell him not to worry about it as you have paid it from the amount of money you saved. Microsoft has announced its latest Windows a few months ago, however it made its launch date official a few days ago which is 29th July. The features of Windows are amazing and brilliant. Now, Microsoft is giving an offer where you can update your old Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to the brand new Windows 10.

Lets see as in how you can do it : 

The free upgrade is available only for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8.1 devices. Since the Windows is launching on 29th July, 2015, hence you have to 'Reserve' your free upgrade. To reserve your update, download the Get Windows 10 App and click on reserve my update. Once you do so, Windows 10 will automatically download whenever available online. 

You can reserve your window by clicking on the icon like one in the picture.

Its Simple :

Click “Reserve your free upgrade” in the app window.

In case if you are wondering that whether you have been registered for the reservation or not, you can also get a confirmation mail on your mail box, for this you have to enter your mail in the app.

Even if you wish to cancel your reservation, you can do it whenever you want.

Is the whole update thing Free?

Yes, it is absolutely Free. This is a full version of Windows, not a trial or introductory version. It is available for a limited time:   you have one year from the time Windows 10 is available to take advantage of this offer.

What to do when I reserve?

When you reserve, you can confirm your device is compatible with Windows 10. Between reservation and when your upgrade is ready, the files you need for the upgrade will be downloaded to your PC to make the final installation go more quickly. Then, when your upgrade is ready after July 29, 2015, you get a notification that lets you get started with your upgrade.

Yes its true, this highly loved series from all over the world is about to hit the TV series again in Japan. Dragon Ball has a cult following, specially in Japan and United States. This has been proved by the fact that recently released blockbuster movie Furious 7 could not compete with its animated movie " Dragon Ball – Resurrection of F". The film is was the part of the series of movies released by the Dragon Ball T.V. series to serve as a filler between the gap of the 'sagas' it have. The movie alone earned about $11 million in less than a week and sold nearly 10,00,000 tickets in a week.

Anyways for those who do not know about Dragon Ball, let's see what it is all about:

Dragon Ball is a fictional Universe just like Marvel and DC where characters are able to harness there 'Chi' or life force into energy which can be attained with physical and mental super control. Anyways, the protagonist of the movie is Goku who along with his friends like Vegeta, Krilin, his son Gohan more, tries to save the earth from the warriors of the galaxy. 

Goku :

A saiyan (an alien from the planet Vegeta) initially sent to destroy earth was rescued by a martial art master named Gohan who taught him humility and importance of life. Goku has harnessed maximum amount of Chi in the universe upto an extent where he could fight with God of destruction. He is wise and intelligent but brave when offered a fight.

Vegeta :

Price of the saiyan race, he first descended to earth to destroy it but eventually got in the team of Goku. He is very proud, arrogant, a brilliant strategist and always look up for fight. He is very tough in the outside but he is a brave fighter and a caring father to bulla.

Gohan :

He is the son of Goku and have traits like him. Gohan has shown the capability of exceeding the limitation of the power far than Goku (until Goku became a Super Saiyan 4). His mother Chichi is more concerned about the studies of Gohan than the fighting training he use to do with his teacher Piccolo who is an alien from planet Namek. 

There are other characters in the series like Bulma – wife of Vegeta, Frieza – a grand villian in Z saga, King Kai and many more. The series have been for many years on the T.V. till it have to end in 1997. Since then it is 18 years when a new series named as Dragon Ball : Super will be seen on T.V. sets of Japan.
