1. Oil your Hair
Ensure to gently oil your hair at least 20 minutes before you step out of the house . Oiling will help in maintaining the the moisture and not let chemically infused colours to damage or dry them . You can use warm coconut, olive or castor oil etc. You can also apply oil to your feet, hands or other exposed parts of your body .
2. Choose right clothing
Make it a point to cover your skin at the maximum . Lesser you are in direct contact contact of the harsh colours ,lesser will be the damage . Wear clothes that covers your hand sleeves and legs . 4. Use Vaseline and Lip Balms
In order to protect your lips and ears apply some lip balm or Vaseline on your lips and also massage your ears as well . Using Vaseline under your finger tips is also advisable as they will prevent them from getting cracked because of the dryness.
5. Wear protective glasses
Trying covering your eyes with protective glasses or old sunglasses if you don’t want to risk your eyes of the direct contacts with colours. Glasses look uber cool as well give you the required protection .
Post Holi Tips
1. Deep cleanse and condition your hair
Wash your hair with the shampoo of your choice and don’t forget to condition them . Also apply hair mask after 2-3 days to regain the required moisture.
2. Remove colours while they are still wet
Make sure to remove the Holi colours while they are still wet . Dry colours are can get very difficult to remove and can take several days before they are finally gone .
3. A a drop of baby oil in the the lukewarm water
Apply moisturised soap and add a drop of baby oil in lukewarm water while cleaning your face . Don’t be so harsh on your skin or scrub it rigorously as it can do more harm than good . You can use besan face pack and also apply calamine for a soothing effect on your skin .
