1 cup Washed urad dal, thick sweet curd, 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, Roasted cumin powder, 1 pinch Asafoetida, 2 tsp Sugar, 1/2 teaspoon Black Salt, and oil for frying.

Step 1

Your first step is to drain the water from the lentils and add some water and grind it in the mixer.

Step 2

Next is to beat the dal continuously in one direction and then, add asafoetida. Now, heat oil in a pan and fry ground dal balls on a medium flame.

Step 3

After frying, you can now put balls in lukewarm water mixed with salt. Soak it for at least 8-10 minutes. Press them gently!

Step 4

Next is to churn the curd well and the ingredients like sugar, common salt, black salt, cumin powder, red chili powder. Mix it well! Keep it in the fridge.

Step 5

Place the Bhalle on a serving plate. Add some cumin powder and red chili powder too. Also include tamarind jaggery chutney and coriander leaves.
