4 red onions, 10 dried red chilli, ¼tsp methi, ½ tbsp urad dal, 2 tbsp oil, small ball sized tamarind, 10 cloves garlic, ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp cumin.
First is to soak 10 dried red chilli in hot water for 10 minutes and keep it aside. Take a large pan and heat 2 tbsp oil.
Add the following ingredients: ½ tbsp urad dal, ½ tbsp chana dal, 1 tsp cumin and ¼ tsp methi. You can now add 10 cloves of garlic and saute slightly.
Put 4 sliced onions and ½ tsp salt. Continue to cook until the onion changes colour slightly. Add soaked red chili and small ball-sized tamarind.
Grind to a smooth paste without adding water and keep it aside. Take a large pan and heat ¼ cup oil. Add 1 tsp mustard, urad dal, pinch hing and curry leaves.
After this, pour in prepared onion chutney and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 tsp jaggery and ½ tsp salt. Keep cooking until oil separates from the pan.
