With a length of 11.2 km, Pir Panjal is the longest railway tunnel in India. It runs through Jammu and Kashmir's Pir Panjal mountain range between Quazigund and Baramulla.
The longest road tunnel in India is the Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Road Tunnel. It opened for business in 2017 and runs roughly 9.34 km, beginning and ending in Chenani and Nashri.
