Select a piece of cloth and sketch the design for the teddy bear you wish to create on it. This will help you estimate the amount of fabric you'll need.
To add volume, the next step is to cut out the fabric using the outline and repeat the process with another set of fabric.
To make the soft toy as mushy as possible, prepare your sewing kit and sew the two fabrics inside out to create an opening for cotton and other fluffy materials.
After sewing, make notches out of the excess fabric before turning it inside out. Then, turn the fabric over to reveal the teddy shape.
Keep the teddy's shape as much as you can while stuffing it full of cotton. Stuff cotton into the teddy's hands and legs as well.
Sew up the opening to make it secure, then add eyes, a nose, and any other desired accessories to the teddy.
