Non-Sticky Jeera Rice Recipe For Dal and Curry

1 cup Basmati rice, 1 tablespoon Ghee, 1 Bay leaf, 2 Cloves, 1 inch Cinnamon stick, Cumin seeds, ½ teaspoon Salt, ½ teaspoon Lemon juice or Lime juice and Water.

Step 1

First step is to take basmati rice in a strainer and rinse under running cold water. Soak for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2

Let the rice grain dry out for 5-10 minutes. Take a saucepan and heat ghee on a medium heat. Start adding all species and saute for 1 minute.

Step 3

The next step is to add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Now, add drained rice, water, salt and lime juice. Saute for at least 1 minute.

Step 4

After the water boils, cover the Pan with a lid. Cook for at least 20-minutes. Switch off the stove and let the rice rest covered for 10 minutes.
