Batata Vada Recipe in 20 Minutes: Serve With Cilantro Chutney

Ingredients

3 medium or 2 cups Potatoes, Oil, Mustard seeds, Green chili, Turmeric powder, ¾ cup Besan, 1 tablespoon Rice flour, 1 tablespoon Cilantro or coriander leaves and a pinch Hing.

Step 1

Boil the potatoes and mash it nicely and keep this in a wide bowl. Add chopped onions, garlic, coriander leaves, red chili powder, salt and mint leaves. Mix it well!

Step 2

Next is to make this into equal sized balls and keep it aside. Cover it properly and keep it in the refrigerator. Mix the batter just before making the vedas.

Step 3

Now, mix the besan, ajwain, salt, hot oil and baking soda. Then, add water! After this, keep the oil for frying. Take a plate and keep the maida flour.

Step 4

After this, roll the potato balls in the flour. Dip this in the batter and put the dipped potato balls in hot oil and keep the flame medium.

Step 5

Take it out of oil after it turns golden brown. Your Batata Vada is Ready! Enjoy with Cilantro Chutney or Ketchup.
