or I will simply call it b2 hereafter.
Rather than a review this is just some features of this product.
Security of online transcactions is of prime concern to all of us.
b2 is an exclusive a/c for online transcactions.
This is basically a branchless online a/c and a virtual credit card combined together.
The virtual credit card or the e wallet can be used as a credit card for all online transactions.
Basic a/c
This is a branch less a/c with 4 layers of security features.
1.Usual user id
2.password
3.transcaction id
4 security grid
The security grid is a set of 16 two digit numbers on the back of your card which wiil be sent to you by post
after A/C OPENING.For each transcactions,you will be asked to enter 3 random numbers from this grid.
So evenif a set of 3 numbers are revealed by any reason the next transcaction will not pass through the same set of numbers.
Also there is no minimum balance requirements. So you can keep it as an a/c for online payments and the a/c can be credited ONLY whenever necessary.You can deposit money in to the a/c through RTGS/NEFT or through cheque deposits.
THe ewallet
You can fill the ewallet from the main a/c whenever necessary. If you make payments through ewallet(just like a credit card) your main a/c details are not revealed.The credit card can be filled again whenever you want to make an online payment. Seconly this card is eligible for ICICI reward points(payback).
This card can be used as a credit card and you need not worry about autodebits etc.
how to open?
just visit b2.icicibank.com and enter your details. An executive will complete the other formalities at your place and convenience.
