WhatsApp crossed 90 Crore monthly active global users mark

Facebook is not just a Social Media Giant, it is the superman of networking taking its powers from the shining connection of billions of users in the world. The founder of WhatsApp, Jan Koum announced this glorifying moment through its parent company Facebook while tagging the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg in the post. The CEO of world’s largest social site congratulated Mr. Jan in a humble gesture on the post.

Even Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg congratulated Mr. Koum, stating :

“900 million people now use WhatsApp every month to stay in touch with family and friends around the world. Congratulations to Jan Koum and everyone at WhatsApp on reaching this incredible milestone – and for still finding time to make us all laugh.”

WhatsApp was developed in the purview of such an app where instant messaging would be amazingly easy and fast while consuming the least amount of the data usage. India, on the other hand is the hidden potential for Whatsapp, already millions of smartphones have whatsapp on their smartphones, soon the count will increase to many more millions and probability of a few more million users with it. The parent company, Facebook, on the other hand have India as its second largest market in the world.
